BOXING CLUB NEWS

The year was 1999. I embraced challenge, change and self-discipline. Breaking away from the regular routine and temptations of day to day life, I entered a space of self-discovery. At Hillbrow Boxing Club I found my footing, my passion and my strength. Under the professional guidance and support of Coach Khosi, I transformed.

The process was gradual, but revealing. I became aware of my strengths and weaknesses as a person, an athlete, a loser and a winner.
I never thought I’d do boxing, but after observing Coach Khosi in action I was inspired to give it a try. The rest is history. After twelve years of daily commitment, of enduring hard physical and mental training, I transformed into a national champion.
With every battle, I confront fear, competition and weakness. Every move has a purpose; every fall teaches me a lesson. With every loss, wisdom is gained. With every win, a goal is achieved.
On Saturday, August 27 2011 I fought with everything I had- with all the wisdom that Coach Khosi taught me.
I won. We won.
I walked away as a National Champion, with my head held high and my first bruised eye.
I challenge you to discover yourself in this unique sport. For more information on the Hillbrow Boxing Club training sessions please contact Coach Khosi at 082 260 4804
