strategic objectives and key performance indicators
While our vision and mission represent Madulammoho's overarching destination, our strategic objectives provide the company with guidance on how to fulfill our goals and continue to move towards our mission of providing clean, safe and affordable housing that fosters human development and promotes sustainable communities.
In other words, strategic objectives help us to realize our vision and mission.
objective: to manage a viable social housing institution
key performance indicators:
- Functioning Board of Directors
- Workable systems
- Effective policies and procedures
- Competent and dedicated staff
- Level of buy-in by identified stakeholders
objective: to build capacity within the organisation to manage growth
key performance indicators:
- Property management system
- Volunteers to assist with new intakes
- Continuously employ new staff members (resources permitting)
objective: to develop an additional 1,000 units in the next three years
key performance indicators:
- Positive net income line item on institutional cash flow statements translating into reserves in the bank
objective: to develop an additional 2,000 units in the following five years
key performance indicators:
- Positive net income line item on institutional cash flow statements
objective: to develop affordable housing stock for defined target market
key performance indicators:
- 70 per cent communal and transitional housing units
- 30 per cent social housing units
objective: to align with MES and other social service providers

- Agreements to provide social welfare services
objective: to develop approach for institutional procurement of sustainable and affordable housing projects
key performance indicators:

- Number of buildings sustainable
- Number of buildings purchased
- Percentage of buildings purchased that are sustainable
objective: to cultivate and nurture strategic alliances with stakeholders and other like-minded agencies

- European Union
- Banks
- Gauteng Partnership Fund
- Funders
- Other Social Housing Institutions
President Jacob Zuma is expected to focus mainly on economic issues during his annual state-of-the-nation address at the opening of Parliament on Thursday evening.
