Welcome
welcome to madulammoho!
We are a registered non-profit (Section 21) social housing institution that was established in 2004 to provide transitional and communal housing to Johannesburg's inner city community.
Today, Madulammoho operates seven housing projects throughout Johannesburg's inner city and with over 950 rental units, more than 2,400 low-income earners can call Madulammoho buildings "home".
Though we are a social housing institution, Madulammoho is not just about bricks and mortar. Through our various partnerships we help build holistic communities that foster social development. Madulammoho also creates opportunities for our tenants to engage in sports and recreational activities like boxing, soccer and aerobics.
Madulammoho's work in the community has not gone unrecognized. In 2008-2009, we were the proud recipients of the Platinum Impumelelo Award for Innovative Work in the Field of Poverty Reduction and Community Development; the Johannesburg Development Agency's Halala Joburg Award: 'Living Joburg - Property Management and Affordable Housing'; and the Govan Mbeki Award for Best Social Housing Institution of the Year: Gauteng.
